Artwork: 14th Hole at Bird Creek
I had a bogey on the 14th Hole at Bird Creek yesterday. It's a par three and it took me two strokes to get on the green and two putts to finish.
The score didn't matter though. It was a perfect day for golf. Late in the afternoon, the slanted sun lit up the fairways. The apple trees looked like postcards for Pure Michigan. The entire course was like walking through a National Geographic magazine. Blue skies, golden trees, clear air.
I did a quick scribble sketch this morning, just to remind me of those few precious hours of autumn.

The weather for the 2013 autumn has been beautiful. I spent last weekend at the Billy Graham Training Center at The Cove in Asheville, NC for a Moms In Prayer Retreat and the weather was beautiful for travel down and while we were there, not to mention the beauty of the Appalachian Mountains! (too early for much color, however). We did travel through heavy rain in southern Ohio coming home. This week has been sooo beautiful in the Thumb!! Brenda
ReplyDeleteYes, it is a good week to be outside in the glorious autumn weather. Let's hope that the colors come to the Thumb soon. I've been watching a maple along M-25 that should be blazing soon.
ReplyDeleteGlad your trip went well, Brenda! Thanks again for your comment.
