Raspberry Rabbit Ears

I'm pretty new at raising raspberries. Ed is the family expert. Year after year he tends patches at our farm that produce handful after handful of luscious berries. He makes jam and fills freezer shelves with all of the ruby red berry goodness.

Anyway, the few raspberry sets that I planted last summer in the lakeside garden made it through the Cruel Winter of 2013-14 and are just now showing their little green rabbit ear leaves. Some of the leaves are pushing up quite a ways from the mother plants so I'm hoping for not just a few bushes, but a whole patch of berries this summer.

Wishful thinking? Well, ya gotta be positive, right?!
