Friendly Art

The art collection showcased this summer at the Grand Hotel on Mackinac Island features delightful images of pets and their people. These two Boston Terriers, painted in 1896 by American artist Alexander Pope Jr., caught my eye. BTs are a favorite of my little sis, Martha, who has taught me a lot about what it means to be a caregiver for kids, pets, and life in general.
