Angry Skies
Thursday morning brought angry skies to the Thumb of Michigan. A line of storms clouds gathered through the night and brought several showers with windstorms. Here's the west side of the farmhouse about 8 am. That's the Lena Henke Lilac tree (a story for another day) and the Chevy Volt in the driveway at the farm.
The first storms came through about 5 am. Then another wind shear with really dark clouds hit around 8:30 am. Both of these photos were taken about a half hour apart using the same camera setting. Storms like this in May feel abnormal, almost like the super storms that can boil up off Saginaw Bay in mid summer. Let's hope this one was a one time occurrence.
